Tentative Schedule: May 1, 2015 Show

On the eve of the Kentucky Derby, we at North American Harness Update will, well, not talk about the Derby! Instead, there is plenty of action in the standardbred realm on the day of the greatest two minutes in sports.

Presenters Ray Cotolo (@HarnessRaycer), Michael Carter (@mcarte1), and Garnet Barnsdale (@gocashking) will cover the Late Pick 4 from the Meadowlands, which carries a $50,000 guaranteed pool. On the stakes end of things, they will preview the Dexter Cup Final at Freehold, which will go on Saturday, May 2, as well as the two divisions of the Lady Suffolk. Pocono Downs will host the Van Rose Invitational on Saturday night, which attracts some of the top pacers on the east coast. A division of the John Simpson Memorial for three-year-old colt pacers will be contested on Saturday at the Meadowlands, as well as the Whata Baron Final. Aged trotters will congregate at the Meadows for the Meadows Maturity, which will go on Saturday afternoon. Finally, mare pacers and trotters will compete in the Miami Valley Distaff on Sunday, May 3 against their respective divisions.

Hastycapping will continue into week eleven. Here are the current standings:
